The international trailer for Ridley Scott's "Robin Hood" hit this morning and so far, color me unimpressed. It's feels like the beginning sequence of "Gladiator," (which is not a bad thing as that was a great film), just taken from the perspective of the Barbarians. Meaning, the trailer has a "been there, done that" feel to it, especially in the first half. The movie is selling itself as the story behind the legend, the hero behind the outlaw, but let me tell you, any movie about Robin Hood has got to have one main ingredient: a guy running around with a bow and some arrows, and I didn't see that until the end.
