Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Captain America contenders: Krasinski, Crawford, Vogel, more:

Comments

Scott Porter is the only one of these guys that seems even in the ball park of being right for Captain America. I love Patrick Flueger, too, but don't know if I see him as Captain America. And please, no John Krasinski -- just no.

Chace Crawford as Captain America? I don't think so. Miss America, yes. Captain America, no.

Krasinski is my pick for The Flash, so please, don't let him have Captain America!

They forgot to add me to the list!

Scott Herman for Captain America!!

The Captain is BACK!!!

John Krasinski is such a great and funny actor.

Ackles for Cap.

Some interesting picks. Just not Krasinski; though him as the Flash I had never thought of, but that's DC.
I'd also like to see Scott Porter as Flash, but just seeing him on this list made me giddy. But most of all, I'm pulling for Ackles. Top notch actor who is highly under-rated in my book. But with scheduling conflicts (Supernatural was picked up for a 6th season) I hope perhaps they can work something out.

I'm deffinately going to follow this one closely, now.

Why not Jason O'Mara he's spitting image of the character.

Miss America?! LMAO

The guy that needs to be Captain America is right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMhgVgCpolY

He’s a relative unknown, he’s signed on to two movies, one of which will get him more exposure before Cap comes out, and he actually fits the role – tall, blond, blue eyes and the right physique. Oh yeah, and he can act.

Expertly shot & edited. Done with so much insight & attention to detail that most women who see it can't believe it was created by a man.

What about John Barrowman? He's dying to play Captain America! I suppose if they're really making an American version of Torchwood, he'd rather do that. And haha, I guess I'd rather he do that too!

Matt Barr all the way! Rugged American look and a brilliant actor!

Randy Couture.
Correct age (ie older), build,
.... and already IS Captain America.

captain awesome from chuck should be captain america!

Yeah, definitely Matt Barr!!! So sexy:)

Have people lost their minds the only person perfect for Captain America is Mark Valley. Plus his body language and stature would be perfect for the role. It would be a natural fit for him considering he graduated West Point and served in Desert Storm.

Scott Herman for Capt.!!!

Youll be sorry if you dont, specially if the Gossip Girl punk is in the running. WTF is that about!

Are you serious. All those actors are great in all but for a part like Captain America??? You need something fresh, someone who will capture the hearts of the audience, and set the ambiance as an American Hero. The person you are looking for is Scott Herman. He's not just a pretty face, but a great guy. Someone who will for sure grab anyones attention.
Check out his facebook page

and see why he's already captured the hearts of many.
He's coming to you, so be ready when he gets there.
