Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Mickey Rourke to play Conan's father:

Comments

If Conan O'brien were Mickey Rourke's son, Tilda Swinton would HAVE to be his mom, for the willowy ginger side to overpower the the beefy strongman side.Him as other Conan's dad makes even less sense. Sure, I'll buy a Hawaiian playing a... Cymmerian or whatever. But his dad is full-on honky? And his younger self is a cherubic Spaniard? They do know we'll see these people on screen, right? You can mix and match races for the same family when they're just doing voice work, as in Lion King or Avatar, but when we can see their faces, it's patently incoherent. I guess Rourke will just have to take his fake tan from The Wrestler to new heights and hope for the best.

Remake it if you want, but it's destined for play on the Syfy channel. I'd find it hard to upstage Ahhhnold's arguably best role and a hellofa movie to try to best. Good luck.

God they screwed up the Grandfather of sword and sorcery,'s masterpiece! If your going to REALLLLY screw it up then go for it.So stupid the perfect choice for his father is arnold.Ishtar and mitra are going to be pissed at this movie,Crom wont give a rats ass!

I think he can pull it off personally. He'll buff up some again, get a little dirty (blacksmith?)...hell look at his character in Iron Man 2, stick him in some furs/leathers and he's ready to rock lol

hi,
According to me You can mix and match races for the same family when they're just doing voice work, as in Lion King or Avatar, but when we can see their faces, it's patently incoherent. I guess Rourke will just have to take his fake tan from The Wrestler to new heights and hope for the best.

who gives a F...........ever Conan movie ever made has been a piece of crap.

The Scorpion King with The Rock WAS the perfect Conan movie.

Nuff Said!!

Hi, According to me, he is just amazing! Rourke has been making the most from his Oscar nomination last year for "The Wrestler.

I'm an amateur film maker, and I am trying to understand how film
makers are able to carry out scenes without cutting that include full
piercing of swords from all angles, and blood, and flesh, all in live
time. For example, I know the methods for making somebody look like
they've been cut, but how do you do this in one scene without a cut
right after a sword slash?

Great thing about Warners is that he have remake rights for Efron to produce along with his partner Jason Barrett via the duo's newly-formed Warners-based shingle

I think he can pull it off personally. He'll buff up some again, get a little dirty (blacksmith?)...hell look at his character in Iron Man 2 http://www.rapidskunk.com , stick him in some furs/leathers and he's ready to rock lol

Megan Fox?? Iron Man 2?? wow thats super great.. i love the two of them..they are so awesome..

I'd find it hard to upstage Ahnold's arguably best role and a hellofa movie to try to best.

I like cars. I think that cars are a very important development for human beings and that every day help us much in our lives.

Awesome Tips!
