“Tron Legacy” isn’t due until December, but Disney already is putting a sequel on its monorail track.
Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the “Lost” writers/executive producers who worked on “Legacy,” have begun writing a sequel to the studio’s sci-fi tentpole.
No details have been released because it is so early in the process. Notwithstanding the question of whether the movie will be a hit, other topics to ponder are whether the sequel will focus on spinoff characters or center on a new adventure set in the “Tron” world. Insiders have suggested that Kitsis and Horowitz are working on a way to round the story into a trilogy.

No deals have been made with “Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski or cast members to return, though options were placed in the original deals, and Disney surely would hope to reunite all the elements if “Legacy” proves to be a hit. Also needing to be figured out is who would produce a sequel. Sean Bailey, a producer on “Legacy,” is now Disney’s president of production.
Still, with Bailey as production head and WME-repped Kitsis and Horowitz writing more “Tron,” Disney seems to be believe in what they have.

It is really an amazing.I can can't wait to watch it.I would like to ask that is there anyone who knows the music used in the trailer and don't say Daft Punk because I know that they are scoring this and I am excited for that as well. Thanks for sharing the great review here...

I can't wait for this movie to come out. I actually watched the 20th anniversary edition of Tron the other night so the story is fresh in my mind when this releases. If anyone hasn't seen this edition of the movie, I recommend it. The only corny thing was the synthesizer music from the early 80's! Other than that, they did a excellent job digitalizing the movie and cleaning it up.

I'm gonna reserve judgement until after I see legacy. If it does the original proud, I'd be down for another.

Having seen the movie when I was an impressionable (and very young at the time) apple II user, the original TRON was an experience that's unrepeatable. The best we can hope for is to build on the authentic otherworldliness that was shown in the original, and although the overt realism shown in the trailers kind of scares me, I think that we're ready for another movie that's truly great style over substance.
It's too bad Walter Cronkite isn't around to do a report on the making of this one (watching him prance around in the TRON world wearing a TRON-like outfit with top hat and cane was priceless).

My only disappointment with my Roxio Premium 6 PhotoShow is that I am unable to burn any of my photoshows. I have sent e-mails to support that only give me references to the help section which I have already read and have done.

I don't really understand why this movie has a very huge fan base. Not my cup of tea, this Tron craze...

The original Tron was only fair at best my opinion. I do have some hope for this new Tron : Legacy movie, but not counting on it.
Starting a third movie before the second is even out is the epitome of 'Getting ahead of yourself'; at least see how it does first to see if it's worth making more investment. Disney must have more money than they know what to do with.....oh yeah they do.

This is nice seeing how Tron was a groundbreaking film in the field of digital effects and vision.

I wouldn't let his resume worry you, Stan did excellent work in Kings. He definitely has talent and I'm excited to see how he'll handle this role.

The music you hear in the 2010 trailer was indeed written and performed by Daft Punk, but according to the Director, the track was crafted exclusively for the trailer and not for the movie. There is an 8-9 minute version of the trailer that Disney will release soon and you will get to hear the full length track, which I think many Daft Punk fans are looking forward to.
No word as to whether the track will be used in the actual movie itself, but it will definitely be released and available on the soundtrack. Personally, I can't wait to see the full length trailer myself :)

The financial details still need to be worked out, but the movement on Fox's side coupled with Vaughn's newfound enthusiasm suggests a deal will happen. The two sides are talking, and a deal could (HV stresses could) happen in a matter of days.
