Warner Bros. and Legendary are taking two separate writers and bringing them together to pen the sequel to “Clash of the Titans.”
Dan Mazeau, who worked for Warners on “The Flash” and “Jonny Quest,” is being paired with David Leslie Johnson, writer of “The Girl with the Red Riding Hood,” the studio’s horror thriller starring Amanda Seyfried that is in pre-production.
The duo are working with Greg Berlanti, another Warners go-to scribe, on the treatment and will then write the screenplay.
Despite negative reviews, “Clash” has proven to be a worldwide hit for Warners and Legendary, grossing more than $486 million. Less than a month after its April 2 North American release, the companies began working on a sequel, bringing Berlanti on board to pen the treatment.
Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton are among the stars expected to return for the second installment, which would be shot in 3D (as opposed to have it added during post-production, as with the first movie), with an eye towards releasing it as early as spring 2012.
Warners and Legendary, as well as franchise producer Basil Iwanyk, are also talking to directors such as Jonathan Liebesman as original director Louis Leterrier is not returning.
The hiring of writers with established solo careers showcases a unique development in the making of a tentpole. In the big-budget franchise business, writers with specific strengths are brought aboard one-by-one during the writing process to punch up the action, beef up the drama, or up the yuks, which drags out development.
Warners is hoping to streamline that process by getting Mazeau, who is known for high-octane set pieces, and Johnson, who also wrote last year’s supernatural thriller “The Orphan” and writes darker character pieces, to meld minds on one script.
The move is designed to not only save time but ensure a script that is tonally more cohesive, as having multiple writers working on specific aspects of a script often creates drafts that are radically different from one another.
Lynn Harris is overseeing “Clash 2” for the studio.
Mazeau is repped by Gersh and Circle of Confusion while Johnson is repped by Paradigm.

I have seen this just a few days ago and enjoyed a lot it. Though it is not the best movie but not bad also. If they will make the sequel of it then it may possible that mostly people like it.

I'm sorry but they completely botched it, for too many reasons to describe here.
Best article I've seen on it is here:

Very glad they're hiring new people to do the next one.

Clash of the Titans progression of 2, but director Louis Leterriers wrong with it. Time said Sam Worthington and virtually all those who were still alive at the rear end of the film Clash of the Titans 2, but the stores of ice in small and kind of vague, but the executive producer credit.

What is language for? Some people seem to think it's for practicing grammar rules and learning lists of words - the longer the words the better. That's wrong. Language is for the exchange of ideas, for communication.
