Great but...Hollywood doesn't seem to know how to walk up to the line without stumbling over it. That is until the globally successful Harry Potter movies did just that - scary, toe-tingly, fun, heartwarming and genuine. I have a feeling we're going to see either another variation of the lame Eddie Murphy Haunted Mansion or SAW IX. Standing by.

Nice!

Very cool! But in this line, "One of its conceits, which the movie will also use, is that the mansion is home to 999 haunts and 999 ghosts (with room for one more!)" it's just one of those. Haunts or ghosts, whatever you want to call them... But there's 999 total. :)

A remake is a remake. No matter who directs it, writes it or stars in it. Stop kidding yourself and us!

I'm glad. I was really disappointed with the Eddie Murphy one. Perhaps it was fun for kids, but so was Pirates of the Caribbean, which I loved. You can make a good movie for both kids and adults ... and when you do that ... your film will make hundreds of millions of dollars with sequel potential.

Guillermo del Toro is a good start. I'm sure it will be a lot better than the last. Let's hope for a good script.

The movie should be about ONE ghost.

And then they can have 998 sequels.

Expertly shot & edited. Done with so much insight & attention to detail that most women who see it can't believe it was created by a man.

Guillermo Del Toro! I'm guessing in the vein of Hellboy, which was both scary and funny. This is obviously a passion project for Del Toro. It's going to be a visual buffet... Looking forward to it.

What a complete and total waste of Guillermo del Toro's talents. As a fan of GDT I feel sick to my stomach about this obvious paycheck film, passion for it or no. I was so hoping for something interesting and worthwhile after he chose to leave the Hobbit films. It disgusts me that anyone would green light such a colossal turd of an idea.

Being a film shot from "my" perspective, does that mean that it's going to be a story about the abuse, discrimination and hardships suffered by a homeless, elderly ghost? After all, The Haunted Mansion is a retirement home for spooks; and, I, one of the attraction's first resident spirits, was EVICTED. (And, with NO PANTS!!!)

That sounds like a cool idea! I love his style and I know he will work hard to preserve and celebrate the spirit of the original attraction because he is a fan of it himself.

Hopefully he might consider using some of my spooky changing portrait artwork in the film! You can view my "Haunted Memories" portraits at www.hauntedmemories.com

You'd think they would be able to figure out that since I already have both a Visa and a Mastercard with them I'm unlikely to need another card from them. You'd also think that since I have never ever run a balance I'm an unlikely candidate for one
